Successful Leaf Award 2024

 Houston Primary School has been awarded its second LEAF Award. This is a wonderful achievement and links in beautifully with our, Eco School 9^th Green Flag journey.

 This year we decided to learn more about the Forest Cycle. Firstly we had to create a Forest Committee, carry out an awareness survey, create an action Plan, which informed and involved our community, checked progress and created a Forest Code!

 We spent lots of wonderful time outside learning about the nature on our doorstep and planting to support local wildlife, especially with our amazing Pocket Garden.

Our pupils curiosity has helped them learn a lot about how plants grow and what helps them thrive.
