When the new ELCC was built, our established orchard was removed by the builders. We were keen to have our school orchard back. Gemma’s mum contacted Mrs McPherson with a plan and very kindly donated £50 towards the purchase of our eight new fruit trees; four apple trees, two Victoria plum trees and two Conference pear trees.
To commemorate King Charle’s Coronation, five pupils called Charlie and three of their friends helped to plant the fruit trees in our school grounds in the shape of the letter ‘C’.The orchard will be officially opened on Friday 5th May.
