Scavenger Hunt

Tree Planting

Primary 6 pupils planted a number of young saplings in the school grounds, with the support of Mr Patterson.

By taking part in these types of activities help our pupils to understand the importance of trees in our environment, producing oxygen, providing habitat and helping to fight against climate change.

Thank you to all who donated to Rag Bag

Spring Planters

All classes in the school planted spring bulbs with the help of Gardening Granny, Mrs Morrison.

The pupils have  been monitoring the transition from bulb to bloom and watering when necessary.
One of the planters will be chosen as ‘Best in Bloom’ and the winning class will receive a 1st place
 trophy  in this annual competition.

Scottish Celebration

Primary 7 pupils planted potatoes this morning. They have been learning about the ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign during the Second World War where families grew their own vegetables to supplement the food they had to eat during rationing. The potatoes should take 14 weeks to harvest. We will undated the blog over the next 14 weeks.
