Pocket Garden Winners!

Lovely Logs!

A huge thank you to local businessman, Graeme McGill, from Branch Out Tree Surgery, who very kindly donated logs for our outdoor play areas. The pupils are thoroughly enjoying being creative with them.

School Grounds

Mr Rough, supported P7 pupils to concrete in the giant, wooden reading chair.

Great practical skills being developed by the team and a good job done too!

LEAF (Learning About Forests) Award 2025

We are delight to announce that we have received our second LEAF Award.

Our pupils, with the help of Mr Patterson have been recognised for their passion about nature and the outdoors.

This award also goes towards helping us achieve our Eco School’s 9th Green Flag at the end of the month.

Renfrewshire Big Spring Clean

P6 and ELCC take part in the Big Spring Clean, supported by Mr Patterson.

Gardening Club

This week the pupils washed down the polytunnel inside and out, with lots of soapy water and then hosed it down till it sparkled!

Some of them got quite wet, but it was excellent fun and the new seedlings and plants will get lots of light.

Great job everyone!

A busy Thursday at Gardening Club!

Our Tom Thumb lettuces have germinated and two cabbage seeds!

We sowed two kinds of beans; climbers and broad. We also sowed godetia and sprouts.

Next, we planted some potatoes in sacks, cleaned up the strawberry beds, tidied at the school front entrance and filled up some beds with spare compost from last year.

We washed pots, seed trays and lots of tubes for putting round our leeks when the time comes.

Phew!
