7th Green Flag Awarded to Houston Primary School & ELCC

This a wonderful achievement and demonstrates our commitment to the environment. A huge thank you to all of our pupils, staff and of course our wonderful volunteers who support our Gardening Club.

Primary 6 Science Project

The pupils in Primary 6 are taking part in a science experiment in partnership with the Glasgow Science Centre. An amazing growing aeropod was delivered and our pupils got planting. They are making comparisons on how different colours of light impact on growth.

RAMHD Sunflowers

Every pupil in Houston Primary has planted a sunflower to seed to raise awareness of the importance of our mental health and well-being. We hope that they make you smile when you walk by the school grounds during the summer months.

Bird Boxes By Ben

The amazingly talented Ben has moved on from making squirrel benches to bird boxes using unwanted pallets. Fantastic craftsmanship and recycling. Well done Ben!

Pocket Garden Design Winner

Primary 6 pupils are bringing Dillon's Pocket Garden plan to life. We look forward to watching it grow

Planting our potatoes

Pupils of Primary 5 have started planting their seed potatoes, as part of our Eco school work

Cosy Insect homes

Ben and Corrie are doing a fabulous job in creating a cosy home for insects. They measured the canes and cut them to size.
