P1 learn about woodlands

P1 welcomed Mrs Richardson back to tell us all about the local woodlands in Houston. We would like to thank her from the bottom of our heart for sharing her knowledge and resources!

Busy Bees in P1C! Learning about the woodlands with our P7 buddies

Recycled Car Project

The boys, with a little help from Mr Rough have finished their first car. Today they carried it and put in position in the Primary 1 playground for our younger pupils to enjoy. Great job everyone!

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor Learning

P7 pupils have been keeping themselves warm, by lighting a fire, using a flint and steel, drinking hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows on a cold February afternoon.
Learning these skills now, will help when they go to Loch Insh for their residential trip, when they have to use a ghillie kettle to boil hot water.

‘Men at Work'

Mr Rough, our wonderful janitor, is teaching our young joiners how to screw in nails to make their very own ‘play car’ using recycled materials.

Great job!
